Coördinating Family Easter Outfits

Coördinating Family Easter Outfits

This year Easter is on my birthday! This hasn’t happened since 2011.

That being said, I felt inspired to still make it my day…but mix in Easter. This meant I needed to find the best patterns and fabric to make my Easter sewing dreams come to life.

A little background story to explain my fabric choices, my family is the family that starts planning and counting down the next Halloween the day after Halloween. (My oldest son even has a Halloween countdown calendar!) We are all things horror obsessed! So when I saw this fabric I knew it was a must! Then I found coordinating fabrics in spring colors that would look great paired with it and picked out the patterns I wanted to use.

Then I moved to the cutting mat!

I only had a yard of the custom fabric and I wanted each of us to have a bit of it tied into our outfit. Here’s what I came up with!

(Chill Tee)

(Color Block Tie Tee)

(Book Club Top)

(Sunshine Legging Shorts)

(Paperbag Pants)

I hacked the Paperbag Pants into shorts and sized up one to make them out of linen but kept the waistband elastic the normal length.

(Adult Oversized Tee)

I added a pocket to the oversized tee and cut it at the crop length and left the hem raw.

Now to get sewing!

We are Easter/Birthday ready!

I’d love to see your Ellie and Mac Easter sews, and hope this read inspires you!
