This dress pattern was great! It was easy to sew and has a perfect fit.
This is the first pattern I have worked from, my first time sewing with stretch, my first time to sew bands, pockets…., but everything was very straightforward - I like the video tutorial. I used a basic sewing machine for the whole dress on a regular stitch setting with a stretch needle. I’m 5’7” - I added the extra length to the skirt only (as opposed to dividing it between bodice and skirt as suggested on the pattern). Everything worked out great - I printed the pattern at a copy shop to save a lot of time. I need to work on my gathering technique as my machine doesn’t have very large size stitches but other than that it was very simple. I bought 2 metres of this Jocelyn Proust fabric to make the XS Size pattern. It’s 4 way stretch rayon/spandex, the weight is 240GSM and it’s perfect for this dress. There is enough left over to make something else 😊
I just finished my Monday morning dress. I made it in a lovely purple. Absolutely pleased with it. I lengthened the bodice 1 inch, not because I’m taller than 5’5” but because my torso is longer. I love it.
Super cute pattern. Easy sew. I hate gathering but this was easy. And its super cute one! Definitely making more.
