Easy to sew and very convenient for stuffed animals or fabric leftovers
I made two large sizes and I LOVE it! Easy to make and now my two daughters stuff animals aren’t flooding their bedroom floor or the house. They are contained and my girls love getting to jump and lay on the stuffy ball. Easy instructions and the greatest idea ever, I tried multiple holders and this is the best! Going to make one for my son because he loves his sisters 💜 thank you for this pattern!!!
I made two Stuffy Balls for two little boys for their birthday party. They turned out so cute!! Great pattern and great idea!!
My kids rarely play with their stuffies anymore but can’t let them go. So this bean bag was perfect for reading seating and clutter control!!
I made the small ball, sew simple to do, I used leftover jersey material, because that's what I had the most of, even the zip instructions were easy. I managed to get all our couch blankets in it, with room to spare - that's 3 fleece throws, a giant crochet square and a heated blanket. Just chuck it behind the couch till winter, no need to wonder where everything's gone and if it'll be covered in cat hairs, but of course they're allowed to sleep on the ball - which means they don't, obvs!
I think this pattern is great and something quite different. I would say that it is easier to do the zipper first rather than at the end but other than that, I loved it!
A friend asked if I could make something for her children to store their stuffed toys in....a Google search later and I found this pattern. I love it. Its perfect and they loved it too. Easy to follow and a quick make. I tried making one with snaps rather than a zip and it worked....I'm not a fan of putting in zips but it's better than snaps.
Will be making many more of these
I came across this via the demo video on Youtube and the kids immediately wanted one. So this was their Christmas present from Mammy, with the added bonus that it helped tidy up their bedrooms! The pattern was easy to follow and cut out and the instruction video was so helpful. I struggled a little with the zip at the ends, but that's because it was my first time doing a zip on anything! Having said that, a little hand stitching neatened that up and they look fantastic and the kids and I were both delighted with them. I made the large balls for my 5 and 8 year olds, and the smaller one for my 1 year old niece.
I made 6 of these for my kids and nieces and nephews over the holidays. I was skeptical that we would have enough stuffies to fit inside and fill it, but low and behold we had extra! My kids like them a lot. My only pattern change would be to add the zipper to the first side seam panel rather than saving to add on the last side seam as instructed in the pattern. I found the construction easier that way.
I loved the idea of the "Stuffy Ball" giving the grandchildren somewhere to keep their soft toys and the result was perfect. As always with Ellie and Mac patterns, the instructions are very clear. I will be making more to store throws and blankets once the warmer weather arrives.
